eTracker blazes a trail for spend management at Scientific Laboratory Show

We recently attended the 2012 Scientific Laboratory Show at the University of Nottingham where the latest addition to the Science Warehouse product suite was launched. Organised by Scientific Laboratory Supplies, Sigma-Aldrich and the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) the show had ‘Science in Action at the Olympics' as its theme.

The event attracted 60 exhibitors including Science Warehouse and over 800 delegates ranging from the media, procurement executives, researchers and scientists. The conference held seminars around health & safety, professional development and the usage of scientific products. We took the opportunity to showcase the latest addition to our spend management product suite - ‘eTracker’ our asset tracking solution.

The eTracker solution integrates seamlessly with a customer’s current purchasing processes as part of the Science Warehouse product set.

Some of the key features of the solution include:

  • Audit trail of product location and usage
  • Full location visibility of ordered items enabling re-use and sharing of products to reduce wastage
  • Reporting on stock levels and product history
  • Clear pricing and structured management information available to finance and budget holders
  • Controlled access and tracing of hazardous products

Greg Staryk-Mills, Business Development Manager at Science Warehouse, reported on the launch success: “We were pleased to participate in the Scientific Laboratory Show which provided an ideal environment for our eTracker product launch. We’re really pleased with the initial interest in the solution which has been strong with many organisations being driven by HSE compliance requirements."
