Thank you for your interest; this position is now closed. Science Warehouse is seeking to recruit a bright, energetic and enthusiastic individual to support our new business sales team here in Leeds. Working within a small team you will rapidly take on significant responsibility and drive you own career development as the company grows its sales capacity. The successful candidate will support the sales team at all stages of the sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation, through bid support to sales contract negotiation and closure.

Your key tasks will include:

  • Market research to identify prospects and key personnel
  • Build a qualified prospects database, maintain CRM records
  • Work closely with marketing on lead generation
  • Booking sales appointments with decision makers
  • Produce quotations and coordinate tender bids
  • Manage the sales contract database
  • General commercial support to the business

This role is ideally for someone with 1-2 years experience in a commercial environment or a recent graduate who believes he/she has the skills to succeed in this role. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious sales orientated individual to drive forward a career in IT sales.

Your key attributes will include:

  • Confident and persistent   not afraid to pick up the phone
  • Motivated and disciplined with strong organisational skills
  • Able to work to targets independently and as part of a wider team
  • Rapidly build rapport on the telephone with potential sales contacts
  • Understand the sales process with knowledge of methodology (Miller Heiman, etc)
  • Understand the technical aspect of a sale and communicate our business benefits

Salary in the range of £17,000-£22,000 depending on experience.
