Thank you for your interest; this position is now closed. Science Warehouse is seeking to recruit a talented Test Analyst from an IT background to join the team in Leeds. As a Test Analyst you will work in a Scrum Agile environment and have some experience in this area.

The successful candidate will benefit from a supportive working environment, internal training and development in addition to career enhancing prospects. As a Test Analyst, you will also be responsible for ensuring new functionality is delivered to specification with appropriate levels of quality.

As part of our eight weekly product enhancement release you will be required to:

• Liaise with the business analysis team to understand requirements
• Write test scripts designed to uncover unexpected issues
• Validate development against requirements
• Write clear and concise bug reports and liaise with developers on bug fixes
• Monitor testing throughout the release process

The successful candidate will also contribute to testing non-release based projects, including new system interface developments, disaster recovery rig maintenance and automated regression testing.

To be considered for this role the following is essential:

• Proven testing experience
• An IT background, ideally with some programming and scripting experience
• Flexibility to adapt to working in an Agile environment

As a Test Analyst, you'll also have the desire and plenty of motivation to investigate new testing techniques and suggest new ideas.

Whilst not essential, experience of any of the following would be desirable:

• Automated testing experience, particularly use of Selenium RC
• A degree in computer science or another IT-related discipline would be beneficial to your application
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Understanding of Relational Databases

Salary is up to £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
